Recently, a conversation on how people feel loved only on their birthday ensued between my friend and and I.
He was of the opinion that people who go into WhatsApp groups to announce their birthday do so because they really don’t experience love on a regular basis hence they want to use that day to scream at the top of their voice that they still exist. Now, a study showed that people’s moral are greatly affected by their birthday hence the idea of reminding/informing people of your birthday might be justified by that finding.
Here’s another one :
One study of persons aged 75 and over found that in the 30 days before and after a birthday, the rate of self-inflicted deaths increased.
The reality is that we all want to feel loved but that love should be experienced everyday and not just on special occasions.
